Job Summary

Seeking an experienced and dynamic Training Manager to lead all aspects of our Manager in Training (MIT) Program. This role is integral to the development and success of our future leaders in facilities management, with a focus on Custodial, Grounds Management, and Maintenance. The ideal candidate will build a robust learning environment, provide hands-on mentorship, and ensure a seamless transition from training to permanent placement.

Key Responsibilities

Program Management

  • Lead the MIT program for a remote team of participants, ensuring a 6-12 month structured training program
  • Design and implement customized learning paths tailored to individual MITs' development needs.
  • Provide hands-on support to MITs, including mentorship, troubleshooting challenges, and facilitating leadership skill development.

Talent Recruitment & Placement

  • Represent SSC Services for Education at university career fairs and other recruitment events to attract top talent.
  • Collaborate with field operators and leadership teams to ensure successful onboarding, development, and placement of MITs into permanent roles.
  • Monitor and evaluate MIT performance, offering actionable feedback to align with career progression goals.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with regional leadership and field teams to align training objectives with operational goals.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for MITs, ensuring clear communication, engagement, and support throughout their program.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to deliver best-in-class training on facilities management practices.

Program Development & Reporting

  • Continuously refine and enhance curriculum to meet the evolving needs of the business.
  • Track and report on program metrics, including retention, placement rates, and participant satisfaction.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and incorporate innovation to training and leadership development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Education, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years in training coordination, talent development, or program management; experience in facilities management preferred.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for mentorship.
  • Ability to lead remote teams and cultivate virtual engagement.
  • Proficiency in crafting training materials and delivering presentations.
