ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
- Trains new employees to orientation program using classroom, hands on and other required training methods, as required.
- Conducts specialized training in skilled trade such as IPC / J-STD / NASA etc. when required
- Completes assessments and training reports on new employees to ensure training material is comprehended and understood, and ensures proper accommodations, if required.
- Maintains training records within the required record retention system.
- Conducts ongoing, as needed, training sessions covering skilled needs. i.e., safety, compliance, specified production skill needs, corrective actions or human resources, or additional training as required.
- Presents training material in a positive and professional manner while interacting with new and current employees.
- Maintains servant leadership behavior to ensure positive experiences while training new and current employees.
- Coordinates with Process Trainers to ensure employees are provided ongoing training and development and provided feedback accordingly.
- Ensures the training environment is kept in a neat and orderly condition.
- Communicates to site supervisors and managers on training needs, schedule, and requirements to ensure all site employees are up to date with all required training needs.
- Follows proper policy and procedure to maintain the integrity and sustainability of the training program.
- Assists with developing new training material and training methods to ensure continuous improvement, employee interaction and sustainability.
- Assists with training budget for annual site training budget.
- Develops training objectives / metrics where internal training methods may need to be monitored or improved.
- Monitors testing materials and orders materials in a timely manner to ensure proper tools are in place for training of employees.
- Learns new skills as knowledge and technology change to ensure leading edge training material and methods.
- Develops and distributes educational materials, training schedules, and ensures employees and supervisors are kept abreast of training requirements and needs to advance, as well as keeping assembly lines in compliance with customer requirements.
- Updates site and corporate processes and procedures to maintain integrity and ensure sustainability to the training program.
- Supports, monitors and reports on the effectiveness of training on employees for career development.
- Coordinate with the Information Technology (IT) department on any upgrade on software needs, adaptability for special projects, etc.
- Perform duties as assigned via CAR's, NCMR's etc. where training is found to be root cause. Responsibilities could include facilitating training, create matrices, etc. to complete tasks and satisfy requirements as needed and record data in record retention database as objective evidence.
- Travel Requirements: 25% to other AirBorn Locations to train, certify, introduce or support the improvement and sustainability of the training requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Requires knowledge typically acquired through:
- Completion of a four-year bachelor's degree from a college, university, technical, or vocational school or equivalent combination of education and work experience in training or in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Preferred to have a third-party certification to train and certify skilled trade such as IPC / J-STD / NASA etc. when required.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and standard online office systems.
- Requires ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedures, write routine reports and correspondence, ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
