Transport Services Aide - UPMC Washington - University of Pittsburgh Medical Center : Job Details

Utilizes proper mode of transportation (ambulation, wheelchair, stretcher). Adheres to department standards for response time. Assists with transport of patients for admission and/or discharge. Utilizes proper equipment and technique to provide for safety during transport. Utilizes and supports a communication system which ensures an accurate flow of information to unit personnel. Uses established methods and procedures for cleaning or preparing the patient area. Collects, transports, and delivers assigned items. In accordance with department policy utilizes Bed. Watch and the associated technology to self-dispatch, document delays, and for communication. Properly identifies each patient using two (2) patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient is transported. Schedule: Rotating days, weekends, and holidays. Rotating shifts that include: 6 AM-2:30 PM, 7 AM-3:30 PM, 8 AM-4:30 PM, 9 AM-5:30 PM, 11 AM-7:30 PM, 2:30 PM-11 PM, 10:30 PM-7 AM, 5:30 PM-2 AM.
