We are seeking enthusiastic interns for the Shiseido Hajimari Summer Internship program, a paid, full-time, 9-week experience from June 2nd to August 1st. Based in our New Jersey and New York offices, this program offers hands-on exposure to the full product life-cycle, from Marketing to Manufacturing, along with impactful projects, networking opportunities, and professional development workshops. If you're eager to learn and bring your ideas to life, this is the perfect opportunity for you!The Manufacturing team at Shiseido Americas handles and works on creating bulk cosmetic products to later be packed out by the Production team in bottles, jars, tubes, or compacts.Responsibilities:

• Intern will be responsible for/will work on qualifying a new type of pump, that will be used to transfer liquid phases during manufacturing. The intern will test the new pump with different types of formulas to optimize processing parameters for manufacturing procedures.
• Intern will work with Safety, Quality, Development, and Marketing to make sure this new technology can create the same results we have validated in a safe, and efficient manner

Requirements:

• Must be a rising Junior or Senior in college working towards a bachelor's degree
• Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial engineers preferred but not necessary
• Must be willing and able to represent the company in a positive light to outside vendors
• Must be able to work independently as well as within a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Intermediate knowledge in Excel and Power Point
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and highly organized
• Energetic, self-motivated, results oriented
• Flexible and able to function in a fast-paced, safety-first work environment
• Have a passion for cosmetics, the beauty industry and keeping up-to-date with industry trends
