The Transportation Analyst develops transportation solutions to optimize the movement of parts and components throughout a manufacturing or distribution network to ensure the smooth running of operations at optimal transportation cost levels. Managing ocean carrier and freight forwarder performance in order to reduce lead times overall and dwell and transit times in particular; maximize reliability; and drive out waste-related cost. Leading problem resolution efforts involving multiple process partners in order to avoid rolled bookings, shipment delays, and unnecessary costs. Managing lean process improvement projects to reduce waste, identify and address root causes of export problems, and reduce cost.
