About the Position: This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at Blue Grass Army Depot in Richmond Kentucky. This position serves as a Transportation Assistant (Office Automation) facilitating Do-It-Yourself Moving Programs as an arbitrator between service members and contractors. Responsibilities Facilitates inbound and outbound shipments under the Do-It-Yourself (DITY) Moving Program. Resolves customer concerns and complaints. Exercises regulatory authority in the Transportation Office with the personal property program. Acts as arbitrator between service members and contractors. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1. Following instructions to process transportation documents. 2. Preparing forms that make up the transportation record 3. Screening documents for missing or incompatible information; 4. Coordinate shipment and storage of personal property. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Customer Service Oral Communication Transportation Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
