Sycamore Services is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Transportation Coordinator. This key position provides leadership and vision for the Transportation Department, overseeing operational controls, administrative procedures, and people systems to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and financial sustainability. The Transportation Coordinator will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating program performance, while aligning with strategic directives from the CEO/COO. Additionally, the role involves assessing community needs, coordinating resources, and maximizing service delivery to achieve optimal consumer outcomes. This individual will also manage program budgets and offer guidance and coaching to personnel, all while upholding and promoting the agency's mission to support individuals and communities in need.RequirementsEssential Functions:
- Guide the tactical and strategic direction of the assigned service line to maximize customer satisfaction, profitability, and efficiency.
- Serve as the agency's expert on assigned service lines, staying current with funding/accreditation standards and industry trends, ensuring staff awareness.
- Enforce and implement program procedures to improve the effectiveness and operation of services.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with state and national regulations.
- Develop, manage, and monitor the service line budget, financial goals, and performance to projections.
- Promote services to businesses, community members, and funding agents to meet budget and service line expectations.
- Ensure public transit services comply with DOT, federal, state, and local regulations.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance evaluations for assigned personnel.
- Ensure vehicles meet safety, operational, and maintenance requirements.
- Coordinate and develop program reports as requested by the CEO/COO, ensuring documentation is accurate and consistent with policies.
Qualifications:
- Possess a valid driver's license, good driving record that meets or exceeds system's established driver eligibility standards and ability to obtain a public passenger chauffeur's license required.
- Knowledge of developmental disabilities preferred.
- Minimum of three years of administrative practice experience preferred.
- Minimum of three years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of transportation operations, including regulatory requirements (DOT, INDOT, FTA).
- Proven ability to guide, lead, and manage teams, offering feedback and coaching as needed.
- Strong communication skills to effectively relay information to staff and stakeholders.
- Experience managing program budgets, monitoring financial performance, and achieving financial goals.
- Familiarity with compliance standards, including funding documentation and accreditation requirements.
- Ability to handle emergencies and troubleshoot issues such as accidents, mechanical failures, or service disruptions.
- Ability to assess customer satisfaction and implement improvements to service delivery.
- Experience in vehicle inspection, maintenance, and scheduling of repairs.
- Ability to assess community needs and coordinate resources to enhance transportation service delivery.
