Job DetailsJob Location: High Hampton - Cashiers, NCPosition Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $18.00 HourlyJob Shift: AnyDescription and QualificationsThe Driver will be responsible for providing transport to High Hampton employees to and from the Western Carolina University campus in Cullowhee to High Hampton property in Cashiers. The Driver will also be responsible for the cleanliness and routine maintenance of the High Hampton shuttle bus. The driver will provide a safe, clean, and friendly experience for all employees who are transported in High Hampton vehicles.This position requires a flexible schedule as hours may require early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.* This position is eligible for our High Hampton Supplemental Summer Pay Program. During the peak summer season, 5/1/2022 through 10/15/2022, the hourly rate is increased as an added incentive.We are looking for a candidate who is available for either shift when needed. The day shift is 5:30AM - 4:00PM. The night shift is 3:00PM - 12:00AM.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.* Strong self-motivator and ability to motivate others* Review daily schedules to determine employee transportation needs* Provide safe transportation for employees utilizing the shuttle* Maintain a calm & and courteous attitude to ensure employee satisfaction* Ability to effectively communicate accurate information to other team members* Observe property for cleanliness and all is in order* Assist with vehicles, parking, and pulling around* Ensure that the employee shuttle interior is thoroughly cleaned daily and the exterior is washed often to keep it looking clean* Maintain safe speeds on roadways based on the weather* Follow instructions from your direct supervisor* Greet employees in a positive and polite manner* Maintain a high degree of confidentiality* Maintain a courteous, flexible, and positive attitude* Be familiar with all of High Hampton's past, present & future* Secondary duties to provide transportation for guests as needed, including travel to the airport* Must comply with all company policies and procedures.*To perform the essential functions of this position regular and consistent attendance is required.Must be able to work well with other Team Members and managers and interact with our guests.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES* This position has no supervisory responsibilitiesEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE* High school diploma or equivalent* Must have a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with a P endorsementLANGUAGE SKILLS* Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and managersREASONING ABILITY* Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goalsPHYSICAL DEMANDS* Must be able to sit and drive a company vehicle for 90% of the shift* Must be able to safely operate a company vehicleWORK ENVIRONMENT* 1,400 acres of High Hampton* Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditionsAbout High HamptonHigh Hampton, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, has inspired residents and guests to connect with nature and each other for 96 years.
