Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking a driven and motivated individual to join our team as a Transportation Engineer in Greenville, South Carolina. The selected candidate(s) will support our growing local and national practice and work directly with industry-leading transportation engineers, designers, and planners. Preferred candidates will have a passion for traffic engineering with a background in civil engineering. Candidates must be willing to travel and ideally have a valid driver's license.
Stantec's local Transportation Engineering Team encompasses the disciplines of Traffic Impact Studies, Corridor Studies, Safety Studies, Transportation Planning, Traffic Analysis, and Signal Design. The Team is involved in the analysis of a wide variety of transportation projects such as municipal, interstate widening, arterial widening, intersection improvements, roundabouts, complete streets, signal system upgrades, signal timing, and bicycle / pedestrian projects. These projects will offer you the opportunity to experience a broad range of professional experience. Technical experience in these key software programs is preferred: Synchro, SIDRA, MicroStation, and TransModeler. Above all, the successful candidate will be organized, highly self-motivated and curious, have a friendly, professional demeanor, and be able to multitask, ask questions, and learn from feedback.
Your Key Responsibilities
+ Working primarily in the Transportation and Traffic Engineering disciplines.
+ Manage and Deliver Transportation and Traffic Engineering projects
+ Gather and analyze various transportation related data (traffic volumes, crash and safety data, origin-destination data, etc.)
+ Support the production of traffic engineering reports.
+ Perform site visits as needed.
+ Observe, attend, and lead meetings with the Stantec team, Clients, and with other project stakeholders.
+ Other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
+ Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) minimum.
+ PE certification in South Carolina or ability to obtain within 1 year is preferred.
+ Minimum of 4 Years of Industry Experience is preferred.
Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.
