The ideal candidate will bring civil engineering design experience with a focus on delivering and/or managing projects for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). Candidates experience should include leading technical approach and delivery of roadway tasks, and/or leading delivery of transportation design projects for FDOT, with Districts 1, 5 and 7 preferable. It incorporates technology and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) to relay roadway information and communication. Project Manager - Transportation / Roadway Engineer (PE) Responsibilities:

• Works under a Transportation Team Leader in the development of roadway design projects for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT)
• Works closely with the other design staff, consultants, and clients to deliver projects that contribute to the growth and safety of Texas roadways
• Manages transportation projects or tasks in support of business needs
• Assists in managing the workload of design staff including other Engineers, EIT's, and technical staff
• Assists in development and management of project scopes, budgets, and schedules
• Reviews transportation designs and detailed plans for accuracy and consistency
• Reports on project progress
• Collaborates with clients and other consultants
• Works with the Transportation Team Leader and Operations Manager in business development activities

Project Manager - Transportation / Roadway Engineer (PE) Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil, public works or transportation project delivery, with at least 6 years post PE License preferred
• Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Florida
• Ability to lead a project and supervise technical staff
• Demonstrated ability to design and review in MicroStation
• Ability to design, oversee and review roadway projects for FDOT and local municipalities
• Manage multiple projects
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• The candidate should have a positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player and a person of high character with a focus on quality, integrity and success.
