Job DetailsEssential Functions1. Lead all facets of construction oversight on projects2. Consider construction costs, government regulations, potential environmental hazards, and other factors in planning stages and risk analysis. 3. Attend site visits, survey the area, and prepare diagrams, charts and reports showing specific information related to the desired project.4. Discuss information to the pertinent parties (i.e. contractors, environmental agencies, local, state or federal entities, etc.) and the general public to keep them informed.5. Verify projects cost by evaluating site inspection 6. Assemble team and obtain pricing from contractors and suppliers to prepare estimates7. Review plans and special provisions and review contractor's work in accordance with plans and special provisions8. Understand how to maintain required compliance with all contract terms and legal requirements that govern the project and prevent rework and delays.9. Establish, monitor, communicate and maintain project schedules, including scheduling and providing onsite direction to contractors10. Update and maintain all sets of drawings, specifications and logs as required11. Complete project closeout requirements12. Participate in weekly staffing meeting.13. Maintain effective and professional relationships with contractors, clients, and consulting partnersPhysical Demands of PositionWhile performing the duties of this position the employee may be required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands and fingers. The employee occasionally must reach above and below shoulder level to be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs and perform some physical labor. Environmental/Working Conditions This position will mostly be in the field; however, office work will be required from time to time depending on project schedules and the seasonality of construction work. B.S in Management or Construction Management or Associates Degree2. 10+ years of experience in construction oversight and management3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills4. Strong interpersonal skills5. Proficient in Field Manager, WisDOT Construction Software / Applications6. Willingness to learn Civil 3D7.
