Job DescriptionTalent Depot is hiring on behalf of a client for an experienced Transportation Project Manager to lead and manage key civil engineering and roadway projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established, employee-owned firm with a strong reputation in civil engineering and transportation projects.Position OverviewThe Transportation Project Manager will lead a dynamic team, oversee complex roadway projects, and ensure the successful execution of project deliverables. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships efficiently. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in transportation design, project management, and a deep understanding of MDOT (Michigan Department of Transportation) projects.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams through the planning, design, and execution of transportation and roadway projects.
  • Develop project criteria, schedules, and budgets, ensuring adherence to project scopes and timelines.
  • Oversee all aspects of project development, from initial studies and engineering to final design and construction documentation.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Maintain and expand client relationships by delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Attend client meetings, industry events, and represent the firm in relevant presentations.
  • Conduct site visits as needed to assess project progress and compliance.
RequirementsMust-Have Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (required).
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License (required).
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in highway design and engineering, including MDOT projects.
  • At least 5 years of project management experience, overseeing transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Strong leadership and project coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with teams and stakeholders.

  • Work in an office environment
  • Attend client meetings and travel by car and/or plane if the project requires it
  • Participate in industry events such as conferences, relevant presentations
