Job Description :
Position SummaryThe Fleet Supervisor is responsible for the administration and coordination of Pan Glo Transport/Services commercial motor vehicles and drivers. Ensures that the company(s) and drivers maintain compliance with the DOT as it relates to the fleet. Assist in the management of projects relating to the transportation fleet department. The Assistant Fleet Administer will also manage the finances and paperwork associated with transportation services. They keep track of the various expenses like fuel and salaries and evaluate the total budget of the operation and keeps track of the everyday functions of the company's transportation. Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Audit Driver Compliance against Federal DOT regulations
  • Checks the income and expense accounts and tallying balance sheets
  • Oversee all employee logs for consistency and accuracy, differentiates between authorized and unauthorized documents
  • Checks the validity of invoices and other documents
  • Assist with all driver compliance and hiring, including background checks, references, driving records etc.
  • Monitoring driving habits in Motive
  • Assist drivers and plants with all electronic and Electronic Logging Device related issues
  • Maintain all Driver Qualification files and other appropriate records for all DOT regulated employees at the affected plant locations. Ensure Driver Qualification files are complete and updated as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration rules and regulations.
  • Assist with maintaining insurance compliance on all company vehicles and drivers
  • File Ohio IFTA, UCR, MCS-150, also provides and maintains all IFTA required decals.
  • File State Highway Taxes for AR, NY, NM, CT and KY
  • Maintain and provide monthly mileage reports
  • Maintain and audit all daily trip reports and receipt
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
  • Experience of work in accounting, logistics and transportation businesses improve the probability of obtaining a job
  • A sound knowledge about the financial matters associated with transportation
  • An eye for details to see through documents and ensure their validity
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Compliance (HOS) and DQ Training
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently
  • Experience with federal DOT and auditing practices
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with management, workers and customers
  • Great collaboration and teamwork with all locations involved
  • Ability to train key stakeholders on DOT related issues
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of paperless office practices
  • Ability to interact with government agencies at a high level and disseminate critical information to stakeholders
  • Excellent ability to multitask and work under time constraints
  • Excellent ability to manage, organize and coordinate resources of the company
Education:Bachelor's degree in: Finance, Business Managment, or Transportation and Logistics preferred. Associates degree or equivalent combination of work experience considered. #IND123
