Transportation / Van Driver - Clay Healthcare Center : Job Details

Clay Healthcare Center, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies is currently recruiting for a Van Driver / Transportation Assistant to join our team.

PURPOSE/BELIEF STATEMENT:

The position ofTransportation Assistant exists to assist residents with transportation to and from inside facility and outside physician appointments and events in a safe manner and in accordance with established procedures.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Transport and assist residents, per facility vehicle, to outside physician visits in a safe manner.
• Assist with transporting residents within the facility to scheduled specialty appointments, i.e. podiatry, audiology, optometry, dental, etc.
• Assist with transporting residents to and from scheduled in-house activities.
• Provide one on one monitoring for residents deemed an elopement risk on outside visits.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• High school graduate or G. E. D. equivalent
• Must possess a current, valid Driver's License in State of employment.
• Clean Driving Record Required
• 1 year experience preferred
• Must possess Red Cross First Aid Certificate.
• Prior work/life experiences involving independent decision making
• Prior work/life experiences, preferably in healthcare or a service industry
• Compassionate and enthusiastic personality
