**Job Title:** Cath Lab Technician**Job Specialty:** Cardiac Cath Lab**Job Duration:** 13 Weeks**Shift:** Day - 3x12 - 7am - 7pm**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week**Experience:** Minimum 2 years of experience within the past 6 months**License:** AZ license required for all Cath Lab Techs**Certifications:** - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)**Must-Have:** - Experience in a cardiac cath lab environment - Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam with a maximum of 2 attempts, required 24-48 hours prior to acceptance for specific roles like Ambulance Transport, Cardiac Cath Lab, ICU, etc.**Job Description:**- Clinical profile review followed by a phone interview conducted by the manager.- Occasionally work with 3 person teams for regular cases (1 RN, 2 techs).- Work with 4 person teams for STEMIs and call (2 RNs, 2 techs).- Utilizes MacLab as the primary EMR with some updates logged in Cerner.- Travelers are not required to take charge nurse responsibilities.- Participate in a weekend call rotation approximately every 4-5 weeks, from Friday 6:30 PM to Monday 6:00 AM.- One team (4-person) on call during holidays for 24-hour coverage.- Hospital scrubs provided; occasional vent usage.- In-house support available 24/7 from Hospitalists, RT, and Pharmacy.- Possible floating to a sister facility, with floor-specific orientation typically spanning 3 days.- Engage with a full range of cath lab cases, including interventional, structural heart program, and hybrid lab procedures like TAVR, Watchman, MitraClip, and laser lead extractions.- Experienced cath lab RN in a busy, high-acuity lab environment is requested.- Travelers will not be required to work in the EP room, thus no EP experience is necessary.- The hospital may cancel up to 3 times per contract, with potential full-shift or partial-shift cancellations.
