As a Cath Lab Technician, you will play a vital role in our cardiac catheterization laboratory, supporting physicians in diagnosing and treating heart conditions. You will work as part of a highly skilled team, directly assisting with minimally invasive procedures and ensuring optimal patient care throughout. This is a dynamic and demanding role, requiring a strong commitment to patient safety, technical expertise, and teamwork.Job Details:

- 1 call day per week, 1 call weekend per month

Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians with invasive cardiac catheterization procedures by preparing sterile equipment, monitoring vital signs, and anticipating needs.
- Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) and other diagnostic tests as instructed by physicians.
- Operate and maintain specialized medical equipment, ensuring its functionality and sterility.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and medications as directed by physicians.
- Monitor patient responses to procedures and document observations accurately.
- Assist with patient positioning and comfort during procedures.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Educate patients about procedures and post-procedural care.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Stay up-to-date on advances in cardiac technology and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Cardiac Catheterization Technology or a related field.
- Certification in Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a cath lab setting.
- Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
- Proficient in sterile technique and infection control procedures.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
