Travel Certified Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Tech (Rochester, NY)

Pay:

• Total weekly compensation: $2,468.00

Duties:

• Assist in cardiovascular surgical procedures, ensuring sterile technique and proper equipment setup.
• Prepare and position patients for surgery, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Handle and maintain surgical instruments and supplies.
• Monitor patients during surgery and assist the surgical team as needed.
• Ensure accurate documentation of procedures and patient records in the electronic health records system.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues with surgical equipment.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CVOR Tech preferred.
• Proficiency in cardiovascular surgical procedures, including CT surgery.
• Experience with thoracic surgery is highly preferred.
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with medical office procedures and electronic health records systems.

Requirements:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
• Cardiac experience required; must be competent in CT surgery, with thoracic experience preferred.
• Ability to be flexible with time schedule and location within the Rochester area.
• One weekend of call per month, on call during the week, and one late shift per week.
