Weekly Pay Range - $2541 To $2823 Job Title: CT Technologist Job Specialty: MSB Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 4pm-12am, 5x7.50 Hr Guaranteed Hours: 37.50 Experience: At least 1 year of CT experience; Graduate of Radiologic Technologist program License: New York State License (L.R.T) Certifications: - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with current CT certification - BLS certification Must-Have: MRI experience Job Description: - Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images. - Perform daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure it is calibrated and operating correctly before any patient study. - Administer injections of radioactive material as per the physician's order following the prescribed protocol. - Adhere to departmental documentation policies by completing all necessary logs, manuals, charge documents, and reporting equipment issues to comply with regulatory agencies. - Conduct quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests, and follow radiation safety guidelines to comply with the ALARA principle. - Maintain, develop, and retrieve patient films and electronic data for radiologist interpretation. - Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use. - Receive and verify radiopharmaceutical on the day of delivery, ensuring the proper receipt per policy and procedure. Verify activity level before administration. - Perform CT procedures following prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy. - Exercise appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patients' needs before, during, and after visits in the Radiology Department.
