Job Title: CT Technologist II Job Specialty: Cardiovascular and/or Radiologic Technology Job Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Nights (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 8 PM - 8 AM) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Preferred: One (1) year full-time experience as a certified or registered cardiovascular or radiologic technology professional License: CT credentials required must be current upon hire or advancement Certifications: AHA BLS Must-Have: - Skill in applying principles of cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology, medical imaging, medical terminology, patient positioning, and medical ethics. - Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions. - Sensitivity to patients' physical and psychological needs. - Ability to maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes. - Strong discretion in handling confidential information and sound judgment. - Capacity to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations. - High level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently. - Ability to work with minimum supervision and attention to detail. - Core to intermediate-level understanding of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology. Job Description: - Maintain competencies required to perform essential duties of a Level I position. - Provide safe, high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, urgent care, and remote clinics. - Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician-ordered procedures. - Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and care team members to achieve desired clinical outcomes, operational goals, and service expectations. - Utilize specialized imaging equipment and techniques to perform diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures per established guidelines. - Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure all study elements, documentation, and technical quality adhere to department protocols and accreditation standards. - Transfer images and data to archival systems, enter technical data/findings, and prepare studies for physician reporting. - Perform quality control checks, cleaning, high-level disinfecting, and user maintenance per manufacturer instructions and regulatory guidelines. - Participate in continuing education and professional development to maintain competencies and drive continuous improvements in care and treatments. - Provide instruction and mentorship to less experienced team members. - Prepare and present in-service training relevant to assigned service areas. - Engage in quality assurance and performance improvement tasks as assigned.
