Emergency Medicine Assignment - Flexible Schedule

Practice Setting

  • Two locations consisting of a Level 3 trauma center and a community hospital
  • Comprehensive specialty support available for most cases, excluding transplants, burns, and adult spine cases
  • Ample specialty support from APCs

Schedule

  • Flexible scheduling across various shifts!
    • No call required - onsite coverage only
    • Physician shifts range from 8-10 hours

Procedures and Cases

  • Level 3 trauma center includes a certified stroke center
  • Common cases include B&B pediatrics, ENT, ortho, and general surgery; higher-acuity pediatric cases are transferred out

Requirements

  • Must be board certified in Emergency Medicine
  • DEA certification required
  • Kentucky state licensure or Interstate Medical License accepted

Credentialing & Travel

  • Swift credentialing timeframe is 30-45 days with temporary privileges available for clean backgrounds
