About The PositionPrimary Care Physician Opportunity with Behavioral Health focus – No Calls or Weekends
A healthcare facility in North Carolina is looking for a Medical Physician locum tenens provider. This opportunity offers a balanced work schedule and a supportive care environment.
Practice Setting
- Full-time adult-only primary care
- The patient population includes short-term psych patients with addiction issues
- 48-bed capacity, collaborative care team (Psychiatrist, NP/PA, RNs, Psychologist, Techs)
Schedule
- Monday through Friday workweek
- No call or weekend shifts!
- Initial 3-month commitment, with the potential to extend
Procedures and Cases
- Inpatient care for psych patients, including treating heart issues, wound care, pregnancy, STDs, and other medical conditions.
- Must be able to prescribe, order labs, and read results.
- Focus on addiction and trauma cases.
- Anything high risk referred to the Emergency Room
Requirements
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Active North Carolina licensure and DEA certification
Credentialing Requirements
- Estimated 30-day process
- Orientation includes BLS, CPI, and de-escalation training
