AlliedTravelCareers is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Medical Lab Technician in Fort Wayne, Indiana, 46845!About The Position**Job Title:** Medical Lab Scientist**Job Specialty:** Clinical Laboratory Science**Job Duration:** Not specified**Shift:** 4x8 Mids 32, Evenings, M-F 10:30 - 19:00; Weekend/Holiday hours 14:30 - 23:00**Guaranteed Hours:** 32 hours per week**Experience:** Not specified**License:** Must be a certified Medical Technologist (MT)**Certifications:** Certification by the Board of Registry of the American Society of Clinical Pathology, the National Credentialing Agency, the American Medical Technologists, or the Board of Registry of the American Association of Bioanalysts**Must-Have:**- Bachelor of Science- Completion of a NAACLS accredited Clinical Laboratory Science program- Visual acuity and color discrimination- Ability to lift 50 pounds- Good verbal and written communication skills**Job Description:**- Perform medical laboratory tests accurately following established policies and procedures.- Adhere to performance and quality standards of the laboratory.- Responsible for clinical instrument maintenance and development of new tests and instrumentation.- Train other laboratory co-workers.- Participate actively in the overall functioning of the clinical laboratory, taking leadership or member roles in committees and projects.- Maintain the laboratory in continuous readiness for inspection.- Possess extensive knowledge of laboratory techniques, instruments, and basic medical sciences.- Provide guidance and assume responsibility for the consequences of decisions within the laboratory.**Additional Information:** This position offers a sign-on bonus and requires a two-year work commitment.
