AlliedTravelCareers is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Medical Lab Technician in Sandpoint, Idaho, 83864!About The PositionJob Title: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)Job Specialty: LaboratoryJob Duration: Permanent Direct HireShift: DaysGuaranteed Hours: 72 hours per two weeksExperience: At least 1 year of continuous job-related experience preferredLicense: Registered as a Medical Laboratory Technician with ASCP or equivalentCertifications: Current BLS (AHA) certification recommendedMust-Have: Associate's Degree preferred; completed training program in accredited school of Medical Laboratory Technology; basic computer literacy; ability to read, write, and comprehend EnglishJob Description:- Performs and interprets diagnostic testing in the clinical laboratory- Handles specimen collection, phlebotomy, and test processing for various departments- Monitors quality control, troubleshoots issues, and maintains equipment as needed- Participates in proficiency surveys and continues education to stay updated on industry standards- Ensures patient safety through accurate testing and identification processes- Collaborates with staff members and maintains confidentiality of patient information- Adheres to compliance standards and hospital regulations- Demonstrates sound judgment and problem-solving skills- Rotates weekends, holidays, and takes call as necessary- Adapts to varying work schedules and demands effectively- Performs physical tasks as required, adhering to safety guidelines- Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots biomedical equipmentAdditional Responsibilities:- Follows established work schedules and attendance policies- Maintains inventory, requests new specimens as needed, and assists in donor blood processing- Reports incidents to risk management and maintains equipment to manufacturer specifications- Cooperates with Performance Improvement initiatives and safety regulations- Obeys OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Rule and Hazard Communication Standard- Operates machines and tools following safety protocolsBenefits:- Tuition assistance available for MLS certification- Sign-on bonus offered with commitment terms- Relocation assistance up to a specified amount- Comprehensive employee benefits package provided- Opportunities for career growth and development within the organizationNote: Background check and drug screening may be required.9605666EXPPLATJob RequirementsRequired for Onboarding
