Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Scientist Location: Crownpoint, NM 87313 Shift Timings: Mon - Fri 8a-6p Start date: Jan 2025 Duration: 1+ Year or Full time (options for 26 weeks contract)

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor of Science Degree or associate's degree in medical technology, or Clinical Laboratory Science or a primary science (i.e., Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, etc.) Experience: must have a minimum of 2 years clinical laboratory experience as a generalist medical technologist License: Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Scientist, or as a Clinical Lab Scientist by the appropriate agency (ASCP, AMT, AAB). Certification: BLS

Responsibilities:

• Perform and interpret a variety of clinical laboratory tests in areas such as chemistry, microbiology, hematology, immunology, urinalysis, and blood banking, using both standardized and non-standardized procedures.
• Conduct blood draws (venipuncture and capillary puncture) and provide instruction to patients and staff on the correct collection and preservation of specimens.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring accuracy through regular calibration, preventive maintenance, and performance testing.
• Develop new test methods, establish quality control standards, and adapt laboratory procedures to meet clinical requirements.
• Maintain compliance with CNIS and TJC regulations, document test results, and prepare reports on findings while observing critical testing conditions.
