Level I trauma center Infectious Disease clinic provides specialized care to people with various infectious diseases. This includes, continuity of care for patient being treated with long term IV antibiotic therapies after hospital discharge, including dosage control, and consults for both, pre and post, organ transplant recipients. Responsibilities include direct patient care, telephone management, patient triage, IV placement, IM injections and vaccinations, urinary catherization for samples, wound care. Outpatient experience required. QUALIFICATIONS Education

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Work Experience

• Two years of current RN Infectious Disease experience
• One year of outpatient experience

Certifications

• Current RN License in the state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Certification in clinical specialty area

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

• Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
• Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent time management skills

Physical Requirements - Must be able to push, pull, bend, and ambulate without assistance.
