Adelphi is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide services to students with disabilities in a school district in Orange County, New York (NY). The RN/LPN will be responsible for providing direct care and required support to students in the school district. The ideal candidate will have a current New York State nursing license and a minimum of two (2) years' experience as an RN or LPN. Job Quick Facts:

Requirements:

• Valid New York State nursing license
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience as an RN or LPN
• CPR certification
• Pediatric nursing and/or ICU nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct clinical assessments and provide necessary interventions.
• Deliver direct care, including feeding, dressing, medication administration, and respiratory care (including ventilator management).
• Support and accompany student(s) on the bus and within the school environment.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing records, including evaluations, progress notes, treatment logs, and updates to care plans, in compliance with District policies.
• Communicate effectively with other healthcare workers to share information about the student's care, treatment responses, and progress toward care plan goals.
• Administer treatments and medications to students in accordance with physicians' orders and District policies.
• Other duties as assigned by the District's administration.
