Job Title: RN - Tele Manager Job Specialty: Tele Management Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights, Every Other Weekend, First to Float Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS - AHA or APEX Must-Have: Cerner experience,Management experience Job Description: - Mixed unit of MedSurg and Tele with 39 beds, including 37 private rooms and 1 semi-private room. - Patient ratios are 1 to 4 for tele patients, and 1 to 5 for MedSurg patients. Assignments could be mixed between MedSurg and Tele. - Must be capable of reading and interpreting all cardiac rhythms. Experience with Phillips telemetry is required. - Use of CPAP or BiPAP for patient care, managed by Respiratory Therapists. - On-call Hospitalist or Intensivist available after hours. - No IV Team; RT and Pharmacy available 24/7 with Omnicell access. - Strict attendance policy with required participation in an AM huddle. Block scheduling is not guaranteed. - Floating will occur as needed, potentially to any MedSurg/Tele units, ICU for MedSurg patients, or the ER for MedSurg Tele holds. - Orientation typically includes 1-2 shifts, possibly up to 3, dependent on Cerner experience. - Familiarity with managing general MedSurg patients, including bariatrics, total joint patients, CVA patients, a-fib, and specific medication protocols. - A warm and welcoming staff, but a fast-paced environment with high turnover. Patient safety is a top priority. - Dress code requires navy blue scrubs with navy, white, or black undershirts or scrub jackets. Additional Notes: - Travelers must integrate into the permanent staff holiday rotation schedule, covering one major holiday and one minor holiday. - Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per assignment.
