Job Title: Clinical Nurse Job Specialty: Cardiology Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience, preferably with med/surg and telemetry License: NYS RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Strong Epic experience, EKG course, Minimum 2 years of current med/surg with tele experience Job Description: - Provide safe, competent patient care based on nursing theory and evidence-based practice. - Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking in care management. - Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in delivering nursing care. - Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate care plans. - Prioritize all aspects of patient care, including education, planning, and delegating tasks. - Educate patients and caregivers about care plans and health promotion. - Maintain effective and professional communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members. - Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model and allocate resources effectively. - Role model the tenets of Relationship Centered Care through various patient care activities. - Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families. - Engage in service recovery for patients and families with concerns. - Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care while identifying improvement opportunities. - Demonstrate clinical skills and knowledge crucial to quality and safety. - Participate in process improvement strategies and quality improvement projects. - Document nursing practice accurately to support quality and performance improvement. - Perform charge nurse duties as assigned and coordinate with supervisors to ensure proper resource allocation. - Contribute to clinical competence development and support a learning environment. - Encourage and demonstrate a spirit of scholarship, inquiry, and lifelong learning. - Participate in shared decision-making through specialty practice councils and unit initiatives.
