Job Description:-

• Monitoring Vital Signs and Hemodynamics: CVICU nurses continuously monitor patients' vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels, and other hemodynamic parameters. They use advanced equipment such as arterial lines, central venous catheters, and pulmonary artery catheters to ensure accurate and real-time data.
• Administering Medications and IV Drips: Nurses in the CVICU are responsible for administering various medications, including vasopressors, anticoagulants, and antiarrhythmics. They must carefully manage intravenous drips and adjust dosages based on the patient's condition.
• Performing Cardiac Assessments: Conducting thorough cardiac assessments, including listening for abnormal heart sounds, checking for signs of fluid overload, and recognizing arrhythmias, is a critical aspect of a CVICU nurse's role.
• Collaborating with the Healthcare Team: CVICU nurses work closely with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Effective communication and collaboration are essential for ensuring the best outcomes.

Certs Required:-

• RN NY License
• ACLS, BLS, COVID Vaccine Required
• NIHSS certification
• 2 years of recent CVICU experience
• EMR:- Epic
