Fastaff Travel Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Albany, New York.

Certs: BLS, ACLS Required CCRN Preferred Number of Beds : 20 with an ADC of 11 patients. Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : CVICU that consists of a NM, ANM, Nurse Clinician, RNs, PCAs and ASA. Patient to RN ratio: 1:1 or 1:2. Type of equipment: Vents, a -lines, spinal drains, Flo-trac, PA catheters, CRRT, IABP, CentriMag, Impella, HM2&HM3. Documentation system: Soarian and paper flowsheets Scheduling requirements: 3– 12 hour shifts and weekends required as needed. Will schedule 4 -12 hour shifts if requesting 48 hours. Floating policy: to areas with competency. AMC has an internal float team that assists in filling holes Advanced skills needed: CRRT, IABP, Impella, HM2&HM3, CentriMag and ECMO. Procedures performed on unit: Intubations, central line placement, spinal drain placement, bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, aline placement, urgent surgical procedures such as an Ex-lap, fasciotomies, open chest, ECMO cannulation, and trach placement. Client requires 2-3 years of staff CVICU experience and Level 1 trauma experience.
