Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - CVOR Job Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) RN Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8-hour Days, Days Call Guaranteed Hours: 32 hours per week Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS certification required Must-Have: - Experience in CVOR, including Open Hearts, CABG, Valves - Willingness to cross-train into other specialties if needed - Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment - Strong communication and critical thinking skills Job Description: - Responsible for providing nursing care in the CVOR, assisting with various cardiovascular procedures - Participate in open heart surgeries, thoracotomies, VATS, and other complex procedures - Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes - Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the EPIC EMR system - Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including safety protocols and infection control measures - Participate in on-call rotation and weekend shifts as required - Willingness to float to other units or cross-train based on department needs - Conduct patient assessments, administer medications, and monitor vital signs during procedures - Provide education and support to patients and their families throughout the surgical process.
