Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12H Nights Fri, Sat, Sun 7 p.m. - 7 a.m. Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: RN License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS (PALS preferred) Must-Have: Ability to learn electronic medical records Job Description: - Work in a 4-bed ER unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4. - Required to float to MedSurg when no ER patients; assist as needed. - Manage patients in trauma, general ER, urgent care, cardiac, and various accident-related cases. - Handle critical care drips and participate in triaging with available EMS support. - Utilize smaller EMR systems not widely known; training will be provided. - Engage in patient care including lab draws, EKGs, and ABGs as required. - Provide care with minimal supervision and be flexible to adapt to Med Surg as required. - Work alongside EMTs, paramedics, and aids, with support for intubation provided by paramedics or MD. - Report during bedside handovers ensuring clear communication and continuity of care. - Adhere to dress code in dark-colored scrubs. - Complete orientation including EMR training on day 1 with department-specific orientation on day 2. - No on-call or standby requirements are needed.
