**Job Title:** Registered Nurse**Job Specialty:** Home Care - Peoria**Job Duration:** 13-week contract**Shift:** 8-hour days, weekdays with weekend, call, and holiday rotation required**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week**Experience:** Home Health experience required, including OASIS documentation, EMR proficiency, IV and wound care, phlebotomy, and catheter care**License:** Current IL RN license required**Certifications:** BLS from the American Heart Association**Must-Have:** Active car insurance and a dependable vehicle; understanding of drug-free workplace policies**Job Description:**- Offer direct patient care to home care patients, including tasks such as taking vital signs and performing physical assessments.- Conduct OASIS documentation accurately and efficiently.- Provide IV, wound care, and lab draws for patients.- Educate patients about disease management and perform case management tasks.- Utilize EMR systems and handle protime machines for vital signs.- Engage in autonomous practice in patient homes, with supervisory support available as needed.- Complete 5-6 patient visits daily, aiming for 25 visits per week, maintaining a nurse-to-patient ratio of 20-25:1.- Wear professional attire following the dress code: scrubs, covering tattoos, no visible facial piercings, and conservative dress.- Participate in department-specific training and an orientation program, including training on EMR and company-specific policies for wounds and IV care, with a preceptor for up to 2 weeks.- Benefit from supportive leadership, with strong communication skills and effective issue resolution for staff.- Ensure readiness to work in an environment that values high staff satisfaction and team support.
