**Job Title:** Clinical Nurse, Registered Professional Nurse**Job Specialty:** CSICU Coronary Care**Job Duration:** 13 weeks**Shift:** Day - 11.5x3 - 07A - 07P - 34.5 Hours per week, Flexible Scheduling**Guaranteed Hours:** 34.5 hours**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years in Post Open Heart and Cardiac Care Unit experience, 1 year travel experience for travel positions is preferred but not required for per diem**License:** NYS RN License**Certifications:** BLS**Must-Have:** Excellent organizational skills, EPIC experience highly preferred**Job Description:**- Provide safe, competent, quality care based on nursing theory and research.- Deliver patient care through the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care and nursing process.- Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations, applying critical thinking skills for effective patient care management.- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team for developing, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans.- Prioritize all aspects of patient care including teaching, rounding, and discharge planning.- Educate patients and caregivers about their care, health promotion, and disease prevention.- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare teams.- Manage assignments within Modified Primary Nursing model, utilizing resources effectively.- Engage in processes to enhance patient experience, including specific patient-centered actions and service recovery.- Demonstrate caring, respect, compassion, empathy, and active listening.- Promote quality and safety in patient care, implementing process improvement strategies.- Participate in quality improvement projects and nursing research studies.- Document nursing practice comprehensively to support quality and performance improvements.- Perform charge nurse duties as assigned and coordinate resource management.- Document patient care accurately in compliance with regulatory and legal standards.- Contribute to professional development and create an environment supportive of lifelong learning and clinical excellence.- Participate in shared decision-making through practice councils, committees, and unit initiatives.**Education:** Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing preferred; associate degree in nursing considered with relevant experience or active matriculation in a BSN Program.**Languages:** English proficiency required (Speak, Read, Write).
