ICU PM 36 or 48 hours
Unit Details: Beds: 14-bed ICU Patient Ratios: 1:2 Special Programs:o Heart program handling CRRT, balloon pumps, and Impella devices. o The heart program averages 2-3 cases per week. o CV experience is a plus for ICU RNs but not required. General ICU Information: Patients in the ICU typically require intensive monitoring and support for critical conditions, including: o Cardiac conditions such as heart failure or arrhythmias. o Respiratory issues requiring mechanical ventilation or advanced oxygen therapy. o Multi-organ failure or sepsis. o Post-operative recovery for high-risk surgical procedures. Nurses are expected to manage complex care, administer critical medications, and perform advanced interventions like arterial lines, central lines, and hemodynamic monitoring. Unit Layout & Amenities: Nursing station is centrally located on the floor. Central telemetry monitoring station on the floor. Unit has a U shape layout. A break room is available on the floor for staff and travelers. Clean utility area is centrally located on the unit. Equipment for vascular access is available on the unit. Support Services: Respiratory Therapy (RT) is stationed on the 5th floor and is the only location in the network with 24/7 RT coverage. An educator is present on the unit during day shifts each day.
