Job Details- Working in conjunction with the Maternal/Child manager and clinical supervisor, the RN assesses, plans, implements and collaborates with other departments to ensure excellence in patient and family care, reflective of CCMH mission, vision and values.
- The RN will integrate departmental goals for improvement across the care continuum.
- RN coordinates and delegates unit and patient care activities, as appropriate, to other health care providers.
- The RN practices within the framework of the nursing process in the provision of professional nursing care within the Wyoming Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association professional standards, and AWHONN and AAP.
Job Requirements- Minimum 2 years of experience in hospital setting working in both Labor & Delivery and Post-Partum.
- RN should have experience with Pitt and/or Magnesium drip.
- RN needs solid experience managing Antenatal/Perinatal high risk patients and have extensive knowledge and experience working in a tertiary level facility; preferably where there is a solid Maternal Fetal Medicine program.
- Current RN license in the State of Wyoming is required prior to start date.
- BLS, NRP and Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications are required prior to submitting candidate.
- BLS must be issued through American Heart Association per hospital requirement.
Schedule Information- RN will be working 12 hour shifts for total of 36 hours per week.
- CCMH is looking for a flexible RN that is willing to help out on both day and night shifts.
- CCMH will be considerate when scheduling not to work days and nights within same week.
- Will work every other weekend and holidays as needed by department.
- RN will have the option of picking up extra shifts.
Unit Specific Information- Maternal Child department provides care for laboring patients and post-partum mothers.
Additional Details- Campbell County delivers an average of 65 babies per month.
- Department has 4 LDR rooms, 15 post-partum, 7 well-baby and 7 NICU.
- Campbell County is a Level II Nursery and deliveries under 32 weeks are sent out to another facility.
- OR department will take care of C-sections.
- Ratio is 1:2 for laboring patients and ideally like to be at 1:1 if the mother is on Pitocin and in active labor (this cannot always happen due to patient load).
- Ratio for post-partum is 1:5 to 6 stable mothers or 3 stable couplets.
