Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Labor and Delivery Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: 2 years experience in specialty required; first-time travelers welcome License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification required Must-Have: - Experience in an acute care facility preferred - Cerner experience required for all travelers Job Description: - Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. - Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. - Collect relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. - Analyze assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues. - Develop a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. - Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. - Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes. - Identify outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. - Collaborate with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. - Provide learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members. - Directly provide health information to patients, families, and treatment team. - Participate in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. - Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members. - Perform other job-related duties as assigned. - Commitment to required vaccinations, including seasonal flu and COVID-19, unless exempted for medical or religious reasons.
