License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the stateof practice Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) - Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) Must-Have: - Experience with Cerner system is required. - Adherence to vaccination requirements. Job Description: - Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. - Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of nursing staff and coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. - Collect, analyze, and interpret pertinent data related to the patients' health situations to determine diagnoses and care issues. - Develop a care plan that prescribes interventions to achieve desired outcomes. - Implement the care plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. - Evaluate patient progress toward desired outcomes. - Collaborate with patients, their families, and healthcare providers in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. - Provide learning opportunities and health information to patients, family members, and team members. - Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. - Appropriately delegate tasks and coordinate duties among healthcare team members. - Perform other job-related duties as assigned. - This unit provides labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and newborn services, excluding ambulatory birthing centers.
