Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical Surgical (Med Surg) - Acute Care Job Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights, Every Other Weekend Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS and NIHSS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: Experience with high acuity, high turnover, and fast-paced environments in large organizations. Job Description: - Adhere to a strict 75-mile radius rule. - Provide care for patients with conditions such as diabetes, CHF, COPD, GI bleed, renal failure, DVTs, and more. - Experience with dialysis patients, post-surgical overflow, amputations, debridements, wound care, and psychiatric cases. - Administer medications like Lasix, Bumex, and Heparin. - Work collaboratively within a primary care nursing model alongside LPNs and LPN-Cs. - Experience with CPAP and BiPAP, predominantly during night shifts. - Effective handling of nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6 for both day and night shifts. - Ensure patient satisfaction and uphold quality care standards. - Demonstrate strict adherence to attendance policies and patient safety protocols. - Utilize the MEDITECH 6.1 charting system. - Follow hospital dress code: Caribbean Blue or White uniforms. - Maintain hygiene standards regarding nail polish; avoid artificial or Shellac nails due to CLABSI risk.
