Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical/Surgical Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Night Shift (7 PM - 7 AM) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience and 1 year of Medical/Surgical experience required License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the relevant state/district Certifications: NIHSS, BLS & ACLS required; BSN highly desired Must-Have: Must live 100 miles away from the work location Job Description: - Fulfill the needs of patients, families, and the community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. - Deliver care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner. - Apply knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan to provide age-appropriate care. - Demonstrate the ability to obtain information and interpret it in terms of patients' needs. - Demonstrate an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients. - Make initial assessment and determine appropriate nursing needs of assigned patients, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. - Perform initial and ongoing assessment on all assigned patients, including a review of systems, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. - Complete admission assessment within the time frame established according to policy and procedures. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program. This role requires strong clinical skills in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to patient-centered care.
