- Critical Access hospital in NE is looking for a nurse with Medsurg experience to start ASAP.
- Peds experience is also needed.
- Job Requirements
- Medsurg experience required.
- BLS required.
- ACLS preferred.
- PALS preferred.
- Schedule Information
- Shifts: 7 to 7
- Ratios: 1:4 days, 1:5 nights
- Weekend Requirement: every third
- Holidays: every third
- Unit Specific Information
- Medical surgical unit
- Additional Details
- Unit: Medical surgical unit
- # beds: 19 acute beds all private rooms
- EMR: EPIC
- Charge Nurse: team lead on each shift- will take patients.
- Nurse Aides: CNA 1 per shift except M-F they have 2 on days
- Scrub Color: RN- Navy Blue, CNA- ceil blue
- Tele: data scope monitors
- Nurse's Read Strips?: yes, must be able to read and interpret
- Drips: Insulin, Cardizem
- Vents: no
- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: yes
- IV Team: no
- RT 24/7: yes
- Pharmacy 24/7: in house 7a-5:30p- then remote pharmacy after hours
- Floating: no
- Floor specific orientation: 2 days
- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: large geriatric population (70% > 65 years old), hips, knees, shoulder, pediatric RSV, pneumonia, sepsis, influenza, wound care, cellulitis, inpatient hospice, travelers would not take Hospice patients
- Additional Notes: Patient centered care, report at the bedside; variable hours 7:00am-7:00pm and 7:00pm-7:00am.
