Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)Job Specialty: Medical Surgical (Med Surg)Job Duration: 13 weeksShift: 12-hour nightsGuaranteed Hours: 48 hours per weekExperience: Minimum of 1 yearLicense: Required to submitCertifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)Must-Have: BSN RequiredJob Description:- Department: Medical Surgical- Beds: 42- Staff-to-Patient Ratios: 1:5-6, with a 1:6 ratio at least once a week- Common Patient Diagnoses: Medical, surgical, and orthopedics- Charge Nurse on Shift: Yes, charge nurse does take an assignment- Titratable Drips: None, except Heparin- Respiratory Therapy (RT) Availability: 24-hour RT on the floor- Telemetry: Monitoring available on the floor with centralized tele station- Patient Care Support: Nurse aides/patient care techs available with a ratio of 1:10-12- Shifts and Scheduling: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM- Weekend and Holiday Requirements: As needed- Floating Requirements: May be required to float to PCU or Burn unit- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs- Orientation: First week in the classroom followed by two 12-hour shifts on the floor- Charting System: EPICPlease note the cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be cancelled during a 13-week assignment, and 3 shifts for assignments shorter than 13 weeks. The radius rule is 50 miles, and candidates cannot have employment with any associated facilities.
