- Job Summary: MedSurg nursing position at Mercy Health Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg, Oregon.
- Unit: MedSurg with 53 beds.
- Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:5 on Days, 1:6 on Nights.
- Common diagnoses include Pneumonia, CHF, COPD, Sepsis, COVID, stroke, and overflow general surgical patients.
- Job Requirements
- Oregon License Required
- BLS certification required
- 90 Day Emergency License may be requested by the facility
- No specific experience required, first-time travelers welcome.
- Schedule Information
- 12-hour shifts: 0645-1915 and 1845-0715.
- 2-week rotation core schedule, manager makes schedule but will consider block scheduling.
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend for Days and Nights.
- Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday for Days and Nights.
- Unit Specific Information
- Unit/Department specific orientation: 2 12-hour shifts on the unit.
- Additional Details
- AUTO OFFER Based on Clinical Recommendation - RTO approval needed by manager.
- 1 charge nurse on each shift, with no assignment.
- Nurse aids/patient care techs available on the unit with ratios of 1:9 on Days and 1:11 on Nights.
- Cpap and occasional Bipap equipment available.
