Job Title: Registered Nurse - Critical Access Hospital Job Specialty: Med-Surg Adult Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-hour NOC Shift, 4:45 PM - 5:15 AM Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience License: Current licensure in good standing in the State of California Certifications: - Current CPR certification - ACLS required within one year of hire date Must-Have: - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Job Description: - Administer nursing care to patients efficiently, safely, and courteously, adhering to proper nursing procedures. - Demonstrate professional behavior both on duty and as a representative outside normal work hours. - Collaborate effectively with staff at all levels within the organization. - Exhibit above-average interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Maintain positive working relationships with patients, visitors, and facility staff. - Demonstrate organizational ability and time management. - Produce deliverable products on time and within budget with minimal direction. - Utilize Microsoft Office applications for data compilation and organization. - Maintain organized records for functions performed within the scope of this job. - Provide accurate and grammatically correct documentation. - Maintain confidentiality of all patient, family, and facility staff information. - Conduct individualized patient assessments, prioritizing based on immediate needs. - Develop and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. - Perform physician-ordered treatments accurately and timely. - Provide patient and family education tailored to individual needs. - Initiate emergency resuscitative measures according to protocols. - Report patient condition to appropriate personnel during each shift. - Adhere to safety and infection control standards. - Attend departmental and hospital meetings and educational in-services. - Assist other departments as needed and qualified. - Ensure medication administration follows procedure and document accurately. - Supervise and support LVNs and non-professional staff. - Report to work on time, adhere to the dress code, and maintain a professional appearance. - Attend annual evaluations and participate in goal setting. - Uphold the mission, ethics, and goals of the hospital in job duties. - Work independently and collaborate effectively with other personnel and clients. Working Conditions: - Willingness to work beyond normal hours when necessary. - Interaction with personnel, visitors, and agencies as required. - Ability to function independently with integrity and flexibility. Physical Requirements: - Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during working hours. - Capability to lift up to 20 lbs.
