Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Float/Telemetry - Cardiac/Med Surg Job Duration: 13-week assignment Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7 AM - 7 PM, must float to other MS units as needed Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: 3 years required; previous travel experience strongly encouraged; experience with neuro/stroke is encouraged License: New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate required; current NY License Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA) Must-Have: EPIC experience; strong proficiency in working on Cardiac/Tele, Med-Tele Units; telemetry experience Job Description: - Work in a unit specializing in the care of patients requiring close cardiac monitoring due to cardiovascular disease or other cardiac conditions. - Be critically involved in the planning and treatment of adult and geriatric patients. - Interpret, measure, and document cardiac rhythms twice per shift comfortably. - Comply with department expectations for telemetry unit operations. - Work a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. - Adhere to the dress code of any color scrubs without designs or cartoons (no hoodies). - Submit requested time off during the course of the assignment at the time of upload. - Be aware that cancellation of up to 5 shifts per 13-week contract may occur with a 2-hour notice. - Be available for required weekend and holiday work. - Complete required training from specified groups for onboarding and clearance. - Ensure compliance with medical and vaccination requirements. - Maintain reliable attendance with no attendance concerns or call-outs.
