Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Med Surg Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Guaranteed Hours: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of current Med Surg experience required License: New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate required Certifications: Current Nursys, BLS Must-Have: - EPIC experience (Non-negotiable) - Willingness to float to other units as needed - Personal vehicle required Job Description: - Provide quality patient care in a Med Surg setting for adult and geriatric patients - Manage a patient ratio of 1:5-6 - Deliver care following safety protocols and hospital policies - Use EPIC systems effectively for patient documentation - Participate in orientation and training programs as required - Handle any associated patient administrative procedures - Preferred experience in Peritoneal Dialysis, Oncology Care, and End Of Life Care - Complete required compliance and medical/vaccination documents before placement - Engage in ongoing training such as verbal de-escalation or crisis prevention online - Adhere to a dress code with personal scrubs allowed (No designs, cartoons, or hoodies) - Handle weekend duties and holidays if required - Must prepare a comprehensive skills checklist and supervisory reference from the past two years of employment - 14-panel drug screening is mandatory prior to assignment confirmation - Requested time off must be noted upfront; no more than five days granted during the assignment
