The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care, coordinates care delivery, and advocates for patients in a hospital or healthcare setting. The RN monitors patients' conditions, administers medications, and collaborates with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, administer medications, and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Assist with wound care, IV therapy, catheter placement, and other bedside procedures.
• Educate patients and families on medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and infection control protocols.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.

• Education: Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Licensure: Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
• Experience: Prior Med-Surg experience preferred, but new graduates may be considered.
