Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN- Med/Surg

Shift: Nights / 7p-7:30a, 12x3, 36hrs per week, Will work every other weekend

Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

• MI License
• 1 year experience
• AHA BLS
• NIHSS
• Prefer 1-2 years Med/Surg Experience

Other Details:

• May be asked to float to other Med/Surg Units, ICU Units and ED waiting rooms
• Travelers are first to float
• Locals Accepted radius restrictions
• Nurse to Patient Ratio 1:4 or 1:5
• Equipment utilized: EPIC, Pyxis
• Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required - Medical Exemptions Only

Prefer 1-2 years Med/Surg ExperienceBLS (AHA) Required, NIHSS Required- Or be willing to commit to completing the certification prior to startMichigan RN licenseWill work every other weekend.May be asked to float to other Med/Surg Units, ICU Units and ED waiting roomsNurse to Patient Ratio 1:4 or 1:5Equipment utilized: EPIC, PyxisAbout the UnitNVU is a 40 bed medical surgical unit specializing in the care of patients with neurological disorders such as Stroke, Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis and other inflammatory disorders of the brain and spinal cord. We have a large spinal surgery population, which includes care for the post-operative neuro-surgery, ortho-surgery, Laminectomy and Spinal Fusion patients. Our unit also includes six “step-down/telemetry” beds and six bariatric beds allowing us to provide care to a diverse patients population. Last but not least, there is a four bed Neuro Monitoring Unit where we admit seizure patients starting at age 5 in an effort to find the cause of their seizures.
