Job Summary: Medical-Surgical w Tele - K Tower
Facility: St Lukes Health-Memorial Lufkin
Common diagnosis / Types of patients: CHF, diabetes, PNA, CKD, m/s tele
Experience or 'Must have' skills: Great communication and time management
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Charge Nurse and House Supervisors and Nurse Educators available
RT/Equipment: Cpap, Bipap, and high flow patients
Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy blue
Unit/Department Specific Orientation: Kurth tower is all med/surg tele and department orientation is completed.

Required Certifications: n/a
Are RN's required to titrate drips: n/a
Common titratable &/or set rate drips: n/a
Are there Nurse Aides on this unit/Ratios: PCTs are present 12/1
Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Do RN's read strips?: Tele monitor techs monitor patients but RNs have to be able to read strips.

Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hour shifts scheduling is by manager, cannot guarantee block scheduling
Weekend Requirement: every other weekend required
Holiday Requirement: holidays are required
Floating Requirements: will float to all med/surg units.

Unit/Department Specific Orientation: Kurth tower is all med/surg tele and department orientation is completed.
