Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical Surgical Oncology Job Duration: 12 months Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years; First-timers are accepted License: GA or Compact license required at time of submission Certifications: BLS Required; OCN Preferred Must-Have: Epic experience Job Description: - Provide care for adult to geriatric patients with oncology and hematology diagnoses. - Handle oncology emergencies and utilize chemo precautions. - Administer and manage morphine drips, dilaudid drips, cadd pumps, and pca pumps. - Work on a unit with a patient ratio of 1:6 and an average daily census of 15 patients. - Use hospital systems, including Pyxis and SBAR. - Adhere to the dress code of Navy Blue scrubs. - Handle occasional off-service patients and apply DNR/CC orders. - Work every other weekend and float within the facility and possibly nearby locations. - Be available to work during specific major holidays depending on the assignment period. - Maintain full compliance to begin on time; delays in compliance may result in a schedule pushback.
